2013 - A Year in Review of Mehta Publishing House

The year 2013 was amongst the best year's not only for Mehta Publishing House but for its readers as well. Here is an account of the brief review of the year 2013 

JANUARY

January 14^th - Book signing and Readers interaction session by the renowned author and philanthropist Mrs. Sudha Murthy at Mehta Publishing House.

January 17^th - Mehta Publishing House’s official blog mppune.blogspot.in came into full existence sharing all our current thoughts, upcoming books, wishes and events through this page to build a stronger bond with all our readers.

FEBRUARY

February 17^th – A special exhibition at The Westin Pune which where renowned author Shobhaa De paid her special visit to the Mehta Publishing House stall.

MARCH

8^th March – Special celebration of Women’s Day at Mehta Publishing House.

21^st March – Special celebration of Marathi literature’s most loved and read author Late Va. Pu. Kale’s 60^th birth anniversary.

APRIL

April 30^th – Official inauguration of Mehta Publishing House stall at Ahmedabad Book Fair in the hands of then Mayor, Mr. Hasit Vora.

MAY

May 1st – Official launch of DEAR Concept at Ahmedabad Book Fair 2013 in a huge press conference in the hands of Mr. Devendra Patel – President, Gujarat Media Club and Mr. Babubhai R. Prajapati – President, Gujarat Press Welfare Trust.

May 5^th – Book reading and Readers Interaction Session organized at Ahmedabad Book Fair 2013 with our two National Bestselling English authors Gayatri Lodha and Vikrant Sukla (The Wrong Chase & Call Center: An Inside Story)in the presence of the new Mayor of Ahmedabad, Mrs. Meenaxiben Patel.

JULY

July 3^rd – Mehta Publishing House’s Engliish Bestseller “ The Art of Ageing” features in the book review section of Not Just Publishing magazine’s June/July 2013 issue.

AUGUST

August 1^st – Publishing Ceremony of Ek Sangu at Pune.

SEPTEMBER

September 5^th – Renowned actor, director, producer and dancer, Mr. Sachin Pilgaonkar’s autobiography Hach Maza Marg’s official book publishing ceremony in Mumbai.

September 20^th & 21^st – CEO, Mehta Publishing House, Mr. Sunil Mehta received a special invite to communicate his ideas on the topic “The Future of Publishing” in a panel discussion organized by Publishing Next in Goa.

September 21st to 23^rd – Mehta Publishing House features prominently in the form of a panel discussion organized at the First ever Pune International Literary Festival featuring renowned writers like Leena Soni, Vikrant Shukla and Atul Kahate as panel members.

September 27th – Mehta Publishing House launches India’s first ever DRM enabled authentic e-Books in a grand ceremony at Hotel Deccan Rendezvous in Pune by the hands of renowned Marathi actors Mrunal Kulkarni and Ravindra Mankani.

September 28^th – Mehta Publishing House keeps its promise of enriching the readers by organizing their annual book exhibition at Sadashiv Peth office premises till October 7^th.

September 29^th – Official opening of Mehta Publishing House’s annual book exhibition in the hands of the renowned author Sabriye Tenberken (Tibetchya Vatevar fame)

September 30th – The official Book publishing ceremony of Tibetchya Vatevar in Nashik

OCTOBER

October – Book Publishing Ceremony of Aathvaninche Moti at Badlapur

October 10^th to 12^th – A special book exhibition at Bharat Forge, Mundhwa (Pune) premises. 

NOVEMBER

November 1st – Book Publishing Ceremony of Tibetchya Vatevar in Pune.

November 2^nd – New and renovated office of Mehta Publishing House at Sadashiv Peth, came into function.

November 14^th – Children’s Day Function at Mehta Publishing House’s Sadashiv Peth office covered by RedFm RJ.

November 20^th – Free distribution of books in Navin Marathi School at Pune on the occasion of Children’s Day.

November 29th – Acquired the publishing rights for Shivaji Sawant’s renowned compositions Chhava, Mrutyunjay and Yugandhar.

           

DECEMBER

December 2^nd – CEO Mehta Publishing Housee, Mr. Sunil Mehta’s interview broadcasted at RedFm’s special show Sunday Superstars where he spoke about the Marathi e-Books.  

December 7^th – Book Publishing ceremony of renowned author and philanthropist Sudha Murthy’s Parigh in Kesariwada, Pune.

December 8^th – Book publishing ceremony of Sukhad Vrudhatva in Pune & Mrutushi Sharyat in Ratnagiri.

December 14^th – 50^th edition celebration of Ruchira – Part 1 and 21^st edition celebration of Ruchira – Part 2 along with the annual distribution of Kamalabai Ogle Puruskar in Pune.

December 18^th -  Renowned actor, director, producer and dancer, Mr. Sachin Pilgaonkar’s autobiography Hach Maza Marg’s official publishing ceremony and a Live Interview in the form of Sachin Dilkhulaas at Balgandharv Rangmandir, Pune.

December 29^th – Book Publishing Ceremony of Dnyansuryachi Savali in Saswad.
