क्रिमिनल्स इन युनिफॉर्म ----Latest Review

 

                Both writers Sanjay & Trivedi do not have Marathi as their mother tounge.  And even before in the laungage of their mother tounge (hindi) and commercial launagge English…. They have published book first in Marathi. Hindi & English edition are still awaited. I think they are targeting lower rank of police (constables to Inspector level) for a potential reader for their book. Even though names changed, If I as lay-man knows it then every policeman in Maharashtra will know who are the charecters they are reading about. Is it so difficult to guess the difference between Parambir & Mahavir ???----Mandar Parab, Senior Journalist

               The story is extremely fast-paced and racy. Each chapter carries a certain amount of shock value for the reader. The way an onion reveals its layers as you slowly peel it, similarly four linear stories are revealed one by one at regular intervals. After each layer of the story is revealed, the truth comes to light, igniting all the senses of the reader.----Geeta

               Reading this book is like watching a web-series. writers have written it in episodic/chapter wise. As a regular reader & Netflix lover, I think that entire style of writing, plot setting, suspense building , speed …. All screaming to say that more than book, a web-series was in mind while writing this book. If you have good visualization power then You may agree with my views----Sandeep Thorat

            

               A hardcore journalism’s best transformation into a thriller book The book has interesting plot. Which has been very much in recent memory. Just happened last year. The story has been set in India’s commercial and underworld capital, Mumbai in early 2021. In the game of police vs conscience where all characters are grey, this dark story is of that one man who takes charge and becomes a player from pawn and this journey of his traverses through the political, criminal, bureaucratic, judicial and corporate world. The main protagonist of the story is police officer who is chief of elite CIU unit. There are frequent flashbacks to previous three decades before coming back to 2021, to bring out the character & life of the protagonist. When he was wronged, no one got to know, but when he did something wrong, it took the nation by storm. When he wronged the wrongdoers, he became both, the hunted and the hunter. Its jointly authored by two hardcover crime reporters. Surprisingly both authors have abstain from keeping their photographs in the book. But never the less all info about them is available in book. they have succeeded in simplying one of most complex case in the book for a common reader.---Dr.Ashwini

                

                संजय सिंह आणि राकेश त्रिवेदी ह्यांनी लिहिलेले "क्रिमिनल्स इन युनिफॉर्म" हे पुस्तक वाचले. पुस्तकातील भाषा समजायला सोपी आणि जलद आहे. मला ह्या पुस्तकातील कथा , कथा ज्या घटनेवर आधारित आहे त्या घटनेच्या पडद्यामागील कथा शिवाय Public Domain मध्ये न आलेले आणि सार्वजनिक रित्या उघड न झालेले तपशील मला जाणून घ्यायचे होते. पात्रांची नावे बदलली असली तरी, बाकीचे सर्व तपशील विस्कळीत झालेले नाहीत. पुस्तक वाचताना वाचक म्हणून मला काही प्रश्न पडले होते ,पण जसे जसे पुस्तक वाचून हातावेगळे होत होते तशी तशी प्रश्नांची उत्तरे सुद्धा मिळत गेली ,पण सदर प्रश्नांनी माझी उत्सुकता सुद्धा जागी केली , पुस्तकाच्या क्लायमॅक्स मध्ये एक खुलासा कटाचा मुख्य हेतू ! आता मला समजले की तपास यंत्रणा आणि राजकारणी स्वतःचा मुखवटा उघडण्याच्या भीतीने बोलण्यात का घाबरतात.--एस गांगण.

 

                 मस्त......... जबरदस्त।  पुस्तकाच्या नावावरुनच समजतं की आत नक्की काय आहे. क्राईम इंटेलिजेन्स युनिट क्रिमिनल इन युनिफॉर्म कसं बनलं त्याची ही गोष्ट आहे. चांगले पोलीस आणि वाईट पोलीस अशी वर्गवारी करणं सोप्प आहे.पण वाईट पोलिसांची काळी करतूत बाहेर येणं सहसा कठीण असतं. या पुस्तकात अश्याच पात्रांचा पर्दाफाश करण्यात आलाय. गुन्हेगारांना पकडण्यासाठी पोलीसांना ही त्याच्या सारखाच विचार करावा लागतो. ही मांडणी जेव्हा घट्ट होते, यशस्वी तेव्हा त्यांचे गुन्ह्याचं नियोजन एखाद्या सराईत गुन्हेगारापेक्षा ही भयंकर असते.----जयेश उपाध्याय.

              देशातल्या सर्वात श्रीमंत व्यक्तीच्या घराबाहेर स्फोटकांनी भरलेली गाडी सापडते. कथानकाचं वृत्तपत्र आणि टीव्हीवर पाहिलेल्या बातम्यांशी साधर्म्य आहे.तरीही अनेक प्रश्न अनुत्तरीत होते. लेखक संजय सिंह आणि राकेश त्रिवेदी यांनी अनेक छुुपे संदर्भ शोधलेत. लोकांना या गोष्टींची कल्पनाच नव्हती. अनेक गुढ गोष्टींना पुढे कथानक वेगानं पुढे घेऊन जातं. त्यामुळं उत्कंठता शेवटच्या पानापर्यंत कायम राहते...----व स शेट्टी.

             मी ते वाचले कारण तुकड्या-तुकड्यांमध्ये छापलेल्या अर्ध्या अपूर्ण बातम्यांनी संपूर्ण आणि वास्तविक कथेला न्याय दिला नाही, जी मूलत: लपवलेली राहते आणि पुस्तकातील रहस्य उलगडते. हे पुस्तक वाचल्यानंतर मी लेखकांबद्दल गुगल केले. लेखकाचा गुन्हा लिहिण्याचा हा पहिलाच प्रयत्न नाही, गेल्या दोन दशकांपासून ते हे करत आहेत. त्यामुळे या प्रकरणाचा तपास आणि अहवाल देताना त्यांना जे काही सापडले, ते त्यांनी पुस्तकात विणले, असे गृहीत धरणे सोपे आहे.--जयेश आर.
